The presence and future of the company depends tremendously upon the upper and middle management: namely, they influence manufacturing and sales results, as well as strategic direction of the enterprise. Therefore the CEO of the Year is being elected and CEOs are encouraged by attractive monetary incentives. In conclusion, great managers are a priceless company treasure. However, surveys indicate that often managers overrate their strategic management, personnel management and change implementation competences.

It is often forgotten by managers that their function consists of two parts: task management and people management. Hereby it is essential to remember that a manager, who is not a leader, is just a dry kit of rules, and a leader, who is not a manager, is just a rebel, rousing storm. Therefore, if a manager is to create the highest added value, he must inevitably become a leader. But what is a leader? Herewith I quote „true leader is the one, who firmly knows his way and is capable of inspiring the team for a common goal”.
